Well, this week has been super eventful. For one, Monday night we got my first ever baptismal date from the older brother I told you about last week! I'm super happy. His reply to the invitation was 'well,
yes; I've got to obey the commandments of God.' He is super solid, and his date is for November 1. The Zone Leaders had a baptism on Sunday, too. He's a super great guy from Puebla.
On Saturday we had a party for the 'Dia de la Hispanidad.' Ask dad for the translation ;) It was super good, and everyone fellowshipped and welcomed the investigators we invited super well. It was so fun, and there was a TON of food! It was also super loud, and I had a really bad headache when we went
home. I hit the sack super hard and quick that night.
I have some other news, though. Elder Glenn is leaving the area to be a zone leader, and I am staying here as the district leader. Yup. The prophecies have come to pass. Missionaries in my area have been predicting a leadership call for me for the past three or four transfers. I'm excited. It will be a good calling where I know that I have skills and talents that I can offer the Lord and to my district. I will definitely need some prayers, though! This means that now I get to do weekly call-in reports, and I get to run district meetings, and I get to organize companionship exchanges. I'll update you on how it goes next week.
We're in a huge scramble to get everything ready today, so this one is going to be short.
I love you all,
Elder Richard Brandt Hull
