A few updates in a short letter to Elder Hull's Mom:
My haircut is looking a little better. My widow's peak is starting to grow back. Never getting my hair cut by morenos again, though.
Elder Glenn and I have decided that we're going to be eating a lot healthier. I've decided that I'm going to make a lot of stir fries, and save the leftovers for the rest of the week. We'll be making a lot of sandwiches, making a lot of eggs, and all that. I've found a place where I can get Chinese Noodles (thinner than spaghetti noodles, but thicker than angel hair noodles, and made from rice instead of grain) for cheap. I also got myself some stir-fry sauces that I'm going to use until they're gone. We've been blessed to have a pan I can use to stir-fry already at our pad. I'm cutting back on how much I'll be eating out. Chinese here and there, maybe a shake every so often, but much much less than before. We're going to Costco later today to stock up on food. I'm pretty excited about it.
I did get that package that Grandma and Grandpa Hicken sent me. You can tell them that I absolutely love the socks, and that our district greatly appreciates the giant package of Sour Patch. I do not have a whole lot of recent photos (I've been working way too hard). I have a lot of stuff on my plate right now. I don't even have enough time to write a full public update, because we've got a lot of stuff to do today.
Dad did, indeed, tell me about the game. It sounded like a great game!
Well, that's all I've got for now, except for one experience. Rockaway isn't a very good place to go knock doors. Sometimes it's not safe. We did go knock one door, though. This kid opened it up, and we got a return visit and left a Book of Mormon! It was pretty great.
Love you,
Elder Richard Brandt Hull
