Well, first off, we got in with Mario. We found out what his deal is- he's just super impressionable. He will believe anything anyone tells him. For example: in our visit this week, he got onto this really weird
tangent about a story from when he worked in a nursing home. One of the residents gave him a deck of cards, and after ascertaining that, indeed, all the cards were there, he asked Mario to choose a card from the deck and show it to everyone. He did so, and put the deck back into its box. The resident then went to the other side of the room, did his little abracadabra spiel, and the chosen card raised itself
from the box. At this point Mario was like 'que poder tiene ese hombre para hacerlo,' or, 'what powers this guy must have to be able to do that!' Face palm! In our heads we were like 'Mario, have you ever
heard of a magician?' Lol! That started a tangent that wandered into the realms of Satan and the power he has, witchcraft, etc, and we had to metaphorically grab him by the lapels and tell him to focus on the basics, and that following the commandments will protect him. He just needs to be consistently reading the BOM.
I'm super excited for Mother's Day! Our church is from 10-1, but we get to go take sacrament to an elderly sister, so it'll end up being more around 3-4 my time, so that's something like 2 your time. The
nice thing is that President has told us we won't have a time limit on us like last time. He expects us to be mature about it, but we do not have a time constraint. So, stay near the computer around 2-3, 3:30 or 3:35 at the very latest. Depends on traffic, and if there's any meetings after church. I look forward to seeing you all then! Just tell me if that time doesn't work.
Sorry this one's short again - we've been pretty busy, and we're going to talk on Sunday, anyway.
All my love,
Elder Richard Brandt Hull
